Eco Glamour Girl - Healthy Glowing Skin
Our lifestyle play's a very important part for healthy glowing skin.
The skin is composed of three layers, the surface layer Epidermis, the middle layer Dermis and the deep layer Hypo dermis.
The epidermis is layers deep, cells are created in the lowest layer and take around 3-4 weeks to move to the surface. This is what we call our skin doing its own exfoliating. Using a exfoliator/scrub will help exfoliate the skin and this will get rid of any scaly, dry areas and will help to remove the dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth, refreshed & vibrant.
"Our skin is our canvas"
The process of skin cell regeneration is the cycle never stops. The health of these new cells are affected by the food and drinks we consume daily. Reducing or cutting out fatty deep fried foods, soft drinks, processed foods and foods high in sugar will make a huge difference in the appearance of our skin, reducing or cutting out theses types of foods will also reduce the toxin intake in your body. You will feel healthier, have more energy, breakouts will clear up and if you have cellulite this will also help break up the fat cells. I try and focus on eating foods that have under 2 grams of sugar per 100 grams. As they say " You are what you eat". Treat your body well, and this will be reflected in your mind, body, skin, hair and nails. To keep your skin looking good keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water, this will also flush toxins out of the body. Taking supplements can help repair the skin, stay healthy on the inside then it will show on the outside.
Omega-3 from fish oils / Flaxseed oil, Silica, Vitamin E and C are great for healthy skin, hair and nails. Having a diet rich in antioxidants, with lots of fruit and vegetables will help slow the aging process and fight against wrinkles. This is why I love my Green Smoothies and herbal teas, they are great for your mind, body and spirit, and they taste yummy!
Daily exercise can improve your complexion as it increases the blood flow, gets rid of impurities through sweat glands and brings more oxygen to the skin. Exercising releases endorphins "the feel great" chemical in our body. Stress can have many bad factors on the skin, so if you have high stress levels try a Vitamin B supplement with some daily exercise.
Please Note:
Always ask a Professional before taking supplements or doing extreme exercise.
